Weekly gatherings at the Charlotte Bridge Home connect Veterans through exercise and fellowship
The Charlotte Bridge Home is located at 2200 E. 7th Street in Charlotte. Their mission – to connect veterans. Groups gather at the CBH twice a week to get some exercise, make friends, fellowship, and network.
Whether your’e a veteran, active duty military, or just a plain old civilian; the Charlotte Bridge Home weekly workouts offer a great opportunity to get involved in the community and meet new people.
Wednesdays 5:30AM – 6:15AM
Get out of bed a little early to join teamSPEARHEAD and the CBH for a boot camp style workout. The workout is open to all people of all fitness levels, no person will be left behind. We generally jog or walk about 3/4 of a mile total in a workout, and mix in various exercises along the way. This is a great time to meet new people, connect with the community, and get in shape of course. Every workout is peer-led, meaning we hope you will lead one after you’ve gotten a few under your belt! Give it a shot, set your alarm, and come join us – we know you won’t regret it!
Thursdays 5:30PM – TBD
If mornings aren’t your thing, join the CBH, teamSPEARHEAD, and Team Red White and Blue for a run/walk around the Elizabeth Neighborhood of Charlotte. We meet at the Charlotte Bridge Home, and then we split into two groups – a run group and a walk group. The run group generally runs about three miles at the group’s pace (generally around 10 minutes/mile). The walk group typically walks about two miles in the same time period. After returning to the CBH, join the group for a drink or dinner at a neighborhood bar and restaurant. This gathering offers a great time to get to know each other and truly build the community.
No matter what your schedule, there is something for you at the CBH!
