Team SPEARHEAD’s Red, Light, & Blue is coming to Greenville, SC for a weekend of Good Livin’ that you won’t forget!

Red, Light, & Blue 001 in Charlotte was a great success.  The event raised over $5,000 for the Charlotte Bridge Home, educated dozens of civilians about the realities of what our military and veterans face, and contributed to bridging the gap between the civilian and military communities.  After the success of this event, it’s time to share the love with the upstate.

Saturday, January 17, 2014 will mark six full months of team SPEARHEAD Greenville, and what better way to celebrate than some good livin’?  And while we’re at it, let’s focus our efforts towards benefiting two amazing organizations: Upstate Warrior Solution and the Peace House.

What is Upstate Warrior Solution? Upstate Warrior Solution is a community-based nonprofit organization in the Upstate of South Carolina that connects warriors and their families to the resources they need, and guides them through the process of developing realistic solutions for a variety of areas in their lives.  A warrior is any service member who is currently serving or has served, regardless of military branch, nature of discharge, current status, or troubling past.  For more information, please visit www.upstatewarriorsolution.org.

What is the Peace House? The mission of the Peace House is to improve access to care and provide hope and support to patients and their families while facing the challenges of illness, injury or disability during treatment at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital (RCP), which is part of the Greenville Health System. The Peace House allows RCP the privilege of serving our injured returning service members from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thousands of injured troops returning from these wars suffer traumatic brain injuries, and RCP has the only accredited brain injury rehabilitation program in S.C. For more information, please visit www.thepeacehouseproject.org.

We love how these organizations serve heroes in the Upstate, and we are honored to be able to serve them through this event.

The goal of Red, Light, & Blue is to connect the civilian and military communities, and what better way to connect veterans to the community than to bring a ton of Americans together for a 6 hour dose of good livin’ brought on by GORUCK’s top cadre?  And how better to finish off the good livin’ than with ACRT and a cook out at the official event after party.

The registration fee for this event is $99.00 if you register before October 31, 2014; $109.00 if you register in November; $119.00 in December, and $129 in January. Net proceeds will benefit Upstate Warrior Solution and the Peace House.  Registration includes your participation in the GORUCK Light, a custom 2″ x 3″ morale patch, and your admission to the after party.  Net proceeds will go to the benefiting organizations.

As a bonus, the weekend’s events will include a GORUCK War Stories And Free Beer.  The WSFB will cost $10.00 extra per person, net proceeds will go to Upstate Warrior Solution and the Peace House, and registration will initially be open only to those who are registered for the Custom GORUCK Light only as space is limited.  What is War Stories and Free Beer?
