Team Lead: The Hoff

The Team: Angler, Astronomer, Dora, Mr.Hankey, GI Sunshine, Mater, FONDUE, TJ Hooker, AARP, MOG and  The Hoff

The Workout:
Team assembled at 05:25 so TL could set expectations for the workout.

Circle of Pain:
Rd 1:

Burpees x 10
Slow Squats x 2o
Push Ups x 30

Rd 2:

Burpees x 10
Slow Squats x 2o
Push Ups x 30

THE WAVE:

– Counter-Clockwise, start workout but you can’t begin motion until person on your left says “down”

– Will resemble a wave…at bottom of the motion, HOLD position until the person on your left says “Up”

Burpee Wave x 15

Push Up Wave x 15

Squat Wave x 15

Rd 3:

Burpees x 10
Slow Squats x 2o
Push Ups x 30

Team Movement #1: Wounded Soldier + Full Gear Simulation Carry

– Weights included: 135lbs and 65lbs sandbag, 45lbs Ruck and a 26lbs Chain to simulate body armor weight)

– Total Weight 269lbs

– Load on Polled Litter and carry to the Park
Partner Up: Polled Litter Team Sprints

– 4 Teams of 2; 1 team of 3

– Sprint with Polled Litter 1 lap

– Team NOT sprinting with Litter performs non-stop exercises until time to trade teams

– Exercises Included: (8) Rounds.  Burpees, Squats, Push Ups, Burpees, Squats, Push Ups, The Shrimp, Louganis

Bunny Hop:

– Team lines up in a single-file line.  Begin to Bunny Hop up stairs, Bunny Hop around bush and back to Start

– x 4 Rounds

AAR:
Today was a grueling yet fun workout.  It was really cool to see everyone having fun while going through a workout like this.  We did a lot of stuff today and the efforts all around were exceptional.  I’ve got to admit, running with that Polled Litter with Mater behind me kind of reminded me of a horrible nightmare of being chased by a man of his size! Have you ever been in a dream where you are running away from a scary beast, but can barely move….Yeah, it was just like that because running away from him was impossible as the litter was so heavy that we were actually moving in slow motion.  That litter was HEAVY.

And I’ll never look at Bunnies the same again.  Those little fuzzy creatures are extremely powerful.  After 1 round of the Bunny Hops I was cursing all bunnies to Hell.  That move should be banned from all workouts, however in some strange way the more you cupped your hands near your chest the easier the move became…but it was awful either way.

T-Claps to Mr. Hankey who on the way back pushed the team to run with the litter the whole way back.  It was a nice push while supporting the teammates.  Nice work Hankey.

Finally though, for the record the votes are in…AARP has him beat in the Leg contest.  But the vote was extremely close.

As always, it was an honor to lead you today.
